Blunder (8)

It sometimes can hardly explained why people make the moves they make. Errors occur often due to tiredness because you do not find a move that is really good. In the diagram below from Reinderman - Harikrishna (Wijk aan Zee 2010) this seemed to be the case. The position is totally equal, but Black at the move had a complete blackout.

Now 57.- g5?? happened. One of a few moves that lose on the spot. White did not ask twice and moved 58.Rxg5+ 1-0 Obviously 58.- Qxg5 59.Rg2 leads to an easily won endgame for White.

As I said - you cannot explain.
